Reporting thresholds for 2026

Arrivals

EUR 3 million

A report is required where intra-EU arrivals exceed EUR 3 million in the previous or current year.

Dispatches

EUR 1 million

A report is required where intra-EU dispatches exceed EUR 1 million in the previous or current year.

Note on the thresholds

The reporting obligation is based on the previous year's goods movements. If a threshold is exceeded during the current calendar year, an Intrastat declaration must already be submitted for the month in which it is exceeded. The reporting obligation continues until the end of the calendar year.

Federal Statistical Office (Destatis)

Destatis is responsible for intra-EU trade statistics in Germany and receives Intrastat reports.

IDEV

Intrastat reports are submitted electronically to the Federal Statistical Office through Internet Data Collection in the Statistical Verbund (IDEV).

Submission deadlines

Intrastat reports are monthly and must be submitted directly to the Federal Statistical Office by the 10th working day after the end of the reference month.
